Did you know we had a Black & Decker outlet store in Tupelo?
To be honest, neither did I. But it opened in late fall at the VF Factory Outlet center on Eason.
Anyway, the store is having its official grand opening on Friday, May 23.
It’s officially a Black and Decker Clearance Outlet, which means it offers big discounts on manufacturer’s overruns, older models and factor reconditioned items. It also has a large selection of power tools and accessories, hand tools, small home appliances and lawn and garden items.
Hey – just in time for Father’s Day. Or any other time, I suppose.
I (Carlie) checked it out a few weeks ago after my curiousity got the best of me. I’d been driving by the VF Factory Outlet for months and had never stopped.
Lots of fun things at the Black & Decker outlet. I didn’t realize it was new, though, since it was my first time at the outlet mall. My favorite find was a magnetic strip that you stick on the side of a propane tank to tell you how much is left.
I found some bargains at the other stores, as well.
Yeah! I found this store right after it opened last fall, and I bought a cordless weed whacker! I love it! I don’t have to get out that cord and wag it all around the yard anymore…it was a great find!!!!
Greg, I also had one of those, but it played out after two years. Went back to the gas-powered.
You got a small yard? That’s prolly the ideal place to use a cordless one.
Has anyone tried the Black & Decker Alligator? I wrote about it when it it came out two or three years ago and it sounded handy. I saw it in the store during my trip and thought it might make a good Father’s Day gift.
Just got more info about the grand opening – it’s actually a four-day event, from May 23-26.
The store is having “special store-opening savings on tools, appliances and much more,” along with giveaways every hour totaling $5,000.
If I wasn’t going before, I think I’m going now.
