Some people haven’t gotten a stimulus check from the government because they haven’t filed their tax returns.
In Lee County and Tupelo, FREE help is available for one day – Aug. 7, from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. at Spanish Village I on 144 S. Thomas Street, Suite 201.

Don’t let a little paperwork keep you from getting your Stimulus Payment.
To receive an Economic Stimulus Payment this year you need to file Form
1040A with the IRS. This includes people who receive at least $3,000 in
earnings and/or benefits from Social Security, VA disability or a Retired
Railroad Worker’s pension.Please bring the following:
- Picture ID/identity document
- Verification of Social Security number of the taxpayer, spouse (if applicable) and qualifying children (if applicable). You will need one of the following for everyone listed on the tax return: Social Security Card or letter/notice from Social Security or Veteran’s Administration reflecting Social Security number
- Form 1099 from Social Security or Veteran’s Administration, or if 1099 is not available, a monthly statement and/or the amount of their monthly benefits
- Proof of any other income, taxable or nontaxable
